Aramil City Museum

About museum

The Aramil local history museum was founded in March 2003 based on the collections of the school museum of School No. 4 and the holdings of the museum of the Aramil broadcloth factory, whose museum was founded by Klara Mikhailovna Kvacheva. The collected documents, photographs and objects of historical interest formed the core collection of the museum. The first director was Margarita Semenovna Novoselova. From 2005 the institution's development was continued by Nadezhda Pavlovna Petukhova. The museum is located in the building of the Aramil House of Culture, whose exhibition space is about 70 sq. m. The House of Culture itself is notable for its rich mosaic that adorns almost the entire building, which was constructed in 1974. Since 2009 the head of the museum has been Natalya Nikolaevna Irtuganova. Tours are carried out by prior arrangement, which can be made by email or phone.
