About museum
In 1981, a museum of S. Khakim was opened in the Kulle-Kimi secondary school, created on the initiative of the public to mark the poet's 70th anniversary. In 1987 it was recognized as a school museum, and in 1995 it became a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. In January 1996 a new exhibition was presented in the new school building. In 2010 the museum joined the Atninsky District Local History Museum, and in 2021 it underwent a major renovation and received expanded halls. The main directions of the museum's activity are the study of the life and work of S. Khakim, L. and L. Shakirzyanov, A. Safarova, and the history of the village and the Kulle-Kimi school. The museum has two halls. In the first hall the tour begins with the poet's genealogy and follows the chronology of his life and work. Here is presented the house in which S. Khakim was born, and the poet's personal belongings. The second hall presents the history of the school and famous fellow villagers. You can also see the recreated study of the poet with books from his personal library.
