A. A. Fet Estate
About museum
In 2010 a museum was established as a branch of the Kursk Regional Museum of Local Lore. It was opened after restoration on December 2, 2016. The estate in Vorobyovka is a place of poetic inspiration and family comfort. Here you can feel the atmosphere of gentry life: breakfast at eleven, dinner at six, evening tea with apple pastila made by Marya Petrovna. In the sunlit dining room the table is set as if the household owners are expecting guests. In the parlor, separated by sliding screens with mirrors, P. I. Tchaikovsky used to play. Marya Petrovna's room radiates peace and serenity. From the windows of the billiard room on the second floor there is a view of the Tuskar River, the park and the meadows. Here one can relax after intellectual work in the billiard room. The rooms in the estate may serve different purposes, but in each there is harmony and tranquility. In addition, every year at the end of May the estate hosts "Nightingale Night", and in early July — the Fet Readings.
