Museum 'Gallery of Goodness'
About museum
On the picturesque embankment of the Volga River, in the historic house of bread merchant Plekhanov, the 'Gallery of Goodness' museum was opened on July 23, 2011. It features over 1,000 exhibits: items of merchant household life, copperware, a cash register, locks, door handles, stove dampers, and furniture. At the museum you can gain an unexpected perspective on ordinary objects and learn interesting facts. In spring 2011 a hoard of money was discovered here — 1,774 banknotes. What was it? Mysticism or a lucky coincidence? Anyone can find the answer to this question by learning about the history of the house and its former owner. The 'Gallery of Goodness' is an amazing museum where the incompatible and the mysterious come together.
