Iskra Photography Museum
About museum
In 2018 the "Iskra" Museum was opened, based on the collection of rare domestic photographic equipment of Roman Kakotkin. Within a few months of operation it received high ratings from visitors and took top places among the region's tourist attractions. During an interactive tour visitors can view a camera obscura, see the first photograph taken on a piece of asphalt, explore 19th-century stereoscopic (3D) technologies, see a spy button camera, and take an inverted photoshoot using a wooden camera. "Iskra" also hosts workshops on printing views of the city and film nights. The project is designed for the widest possible audience.
