Museum "House of the City Head G.N. Botnikov"
About museum
In the house where the museum is now located, the Kostroma merchant Gennady Nikolaevich Botnikov lived from 1908 to 1914. He served as the city head for many years and constantly worked to develop and improve Kostroma, using not only his official powers but also donations from his personal funds. The museum recreates the unique interior of a merchant's townhouse from the early 20th century, covering 300 square meters. Here you can take a tour of nine rooms and participate in talks from the series: 'The Ruler — etiquette, rules that must not be broken', 'The Music of Russian Painting', and others. Photo sessions and ceremonial events are organized on request.
