\r\nOn May 8, 2005, in honor of the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, by decree of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Museum of the 112th Bashkir (16th Guards) Cavalry Division was opened as a branch of the Republican Museum of Military Glory. The museum's exhibition is devoted to the history of this legendary division, which contributed some of the brightest pages of the Bashkir people's combat glory to the annals of the Great Patriotic War. Immediately after its opening, the museum became a focal point of attention not only for the division's veterans but also for the wider public. The feats of the soldiers of the 112th Bashkir Cavalry Division are immortal, and defenders of the Fatherland are raised by their example.
