In the settlement of Kutulik, located 180 km from Irkutsk, there is the only district center in all of Russia about which Alexander Vampilov wrote: "Similar to all district centers of Russia, but nevertheless the only one in all of Russia." In this museum you can see the Vampilov family's memorial room, as well as items from Alexander Vampilov's life and work: a shirt, notebooks, a pen, a watch, a flashlight, a guitar. The exhibitions "Childhood and School Years", "Irkutsk and Vampilov", "Vampilov and the Theatre" help to better understand the playwright. Here you can feel the atmosphere of a provincial settlement and walk along the famous Kandalny Path.
