Maslyaninsky Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
On December 8, 1978, the first exhibition was opened at the Maslyaninsky Historical and Local Lore Museum. A few years before that the district underwent rapid development, and in 1999 the museum moved to a new building. It currently houses exhibitions dedicated to the history of the district. Each year the museum receives more than 100 collection items, including donations from district residents. The collection includes painting, graphic arts, sculpture, decorative and applied arts, numismatics, archaeology, ethnography, weapons, documents, natural science collections, and history of technology. As of the end of 2020, the museum had accumulated 4,645 collection items. A large number of exhibitions, tours, and lectures are held here, attended by more than 4,000 people annually. The museum has become a cultural center and hosts educational events.
