About museum

On May 7, 2010, the district historical and local history museum was opened as the youngest of the museums in the Ulyanovsk Region. Before opening, extensive multi-year work was carried out to collect documents and exhibits. At present, the museum's permanent exhibition features 399 original documents and exhibits, and during its existence it has been visited by 8,825 people. The museum has held 224 socially significant events for people of various age groups. Guests come to the museum from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ufa, Ulyanovsk and from the district and region, leaving feedback about the museum's work in the guestbook. Since the museum is relatively young, it receives substantial practical and methodological support from the methodological center of the regional local history museum.
