Magnitogorsk Art Gallery
About museum
Magnitogorsk Art Gallery is the only art-focused museum in the industrial city; it was established in 1980. In 1986 the gallery received its own building. The gallery's collection consists of works from the 20th–21st centuries and includes painting, graphic art, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts. Currently the museum has 7,784 items, primarily based on a donation from the Union of Artists of the USSR. The goal of the gallery's activities is to cultivate aesthetic taste, an artistic worldview, and to expand the city's cultural space.
