The school literary museum 'V. D. Berestov and His Circle' was opened at State Educational Institution Gymnasium No. 1565 'Sviblovo' on September 1, 2009, at the initiative of Natalya Ivanovna Aleksandrova (the widow of V. D. Berestov). In 2010 the museum received its first certificate No. 1193, and since 2015 has been operating on the basis of Certificate No. 16258 at the Management Company 'Classical Gymnasium' of the State Budgetary Educational Institution 'Gymnasium Sviblovo'. The museum's main focus is literature. The collections were formed from the holdings and archive of the V. D. Berestov Literary Center at the State Republican Children's Library (GRDB) (1998–2009), as well as items, documents, publications and books from V. D. Berestov's home library that arrived from the Center and were added in subsequent years, including dedication inscriptions by K. I. and L. K. Chukovskys, N. Eidelman, E. Uspensky, N. Korzhavin, Yu. Yefremov, N. Starshinov and others, as well as records with autographs of 20th-century bards and photographs of archaeological expeditions to Veliky Novgorod and Khorezm. The museum has an exhibition area and a storage area of 30 sq. m. each, as well as an archive and a research library.
