Krutinsky Local History Museum
About museum
On February 23, 1988, the district historical and local history museum institution was opened in one room of the Pioneer House. Nine years later, at the initiative of the head of the Krutinsky Municipal District, Vasily Nikolaevich Kiselev, the former post office building was renovated. As of 01.01.2018 the museum's main collection consisted of 4,896 units, and the items of the scientific and auxiliary collection numbered 1,448. The museum has four halls: 'Krutinsky District in Development', 'Military Glory', 'Settlement and Peasant Life' and 'Nature and Us'. The first hall features documents more than one hundred years old; the second — testimonies of the combat path of fellow countrymen; the third — the interior of a Russian peasant house (izba); and the fourth — stuffed animals and a recreation of a lake and forest. Visitors can view exhibitions dedicated to culture, education, healthcare, nature and other topics, and can also attend the 'Poisk' and 'Khozyaushka' clubs.
