Krasnovishersky District Local History Museum
About museum
On August 1, 1980, a Local History Museum was opened in the Krasnovishersky District. The exhibition layouts were created by artists from the Perm Art Fund and by the local teacher, local historian and artist G. I. Veselsky, who became the museum's first director. Today it is one of the town's main tourist attractions. The museum features a permanent exhibition divided into thematic sections. The first section tells about the nature of the Vishera region; the second — about the culture and everyday life of the district's residents, as well as the Kutim iron-smelting plant. Other sections are devoted to the Great Patriotic War and the district's major enterprises. The museum's core collection comprises more than 4,000 items, including over 200 works of fine art presented in the museum's exhibition hall.
