Samsonovo Secondary School Local History Museum
About museum
Since 1980 the museum existed unofficially, but on January 30, 1991 it was awarded the title 'School Museum', and on May 19 of the same year it was officially opened. In 2007 the museum received the status of a historical and local-history museum. It features exhibitions: 'Russian Antiquities' (interior of a Siberian peasant hut), 'Your Feat Is Immortal, Your Word Is Eternal, Soldier!' ('They Fought for the Motherland', 'Heroes of the Soviet Union — Tarchan residents', 'Afghan War Veteran — V.I. Guzov'), 'History of the Development of Education in the Village' ('History of Education in the Village', 'Our Teacher‑Veterans') and 'History of Samsonovo' (founding, history of the church, history of the Kalinin collective farm). At one time the museum was not officially registered, but in 1991 it was granted the title 'School Museum', and in 2007 it obtained historical and local-history status. It presents exhibitions dedicated to Russian antiquities, the feats of soldiers for the Motherland, education in the village, and the history of the village of Samsonovo. The official opening of the school museum took place on May 19, 1991.
