About museum
The Pozharsky District Museum's collections contain more than 4,000 exhibits, and since 2004 it has been keeping a chronicle of the district's history. Here you can see many unusual and mysterious items, as well as the past and present of the district: a prehistoric sea, settlements of the legendary Bohai people, battles between the Reds and the Whites, and the construction of a giant of the Far Eastern power industry. A large portrait of Commissar Ivan Alekseevich Pozharsky is displayed in the foyer. The historical hall presents events that preceded the founding of the settlement of Luchegorsk, while the second hall reveals the natural environment and ethnography of the Udege people and the history of the settlement of Primorye's northern territories. The war hall presents historical facts about the participation of locals in the Great Patriotic War, and the most creative space is the exhibition hall, which is constantly transformed according to the theme thanks to the work of the museum staff.
