Lomonosov Local History Museum
About museum
The Lomonosov Local History Museum is located on Yeleninskaya Street in a historic building erected in the early 20th century for the Officer Rifle School. The museum's spacious halls present the exhibition 'Three Centuries of Oranienbaum–Lomonosov History'. It includes artifacts from the 18th-century settlement of Martyshkino, items found by archaeologists on the territory of Koporye Fortress and Ust‑Ruditsa, photographs and graphic depictions of Oranienbaum from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, and other objects of regional significance. The museum uses innovative technologies such as an operational model of the Ust‑Ruditsa factory, a touchscreen interactive panel with the 1914 Oranienbaum map, and the cockpit of a La‑5 fighter aircraft from 1942 with a built-in aerial combat computer game 'Baltic Sky'. Temporary exhibitions and cultural and leisure events are also held at the museum.
