Kovylkinsky Local History Museum
About museum
On November 3, 1977, the ceremonial opening of the Kovylkinsky Local History Museum took place; its collections contain more than 12,500 exhibits. It attracts people interested in the history of their native land and allows them to absorb a sense of the sublime, the good, and the valuable. In the museum's historical and ethnographic hall each item recalls unique moments of history. The military-patriotic hall, consisting of three sections, contributes to moral and patriotic education. Particularly important are the works of sculptor M. I. Feokritova, donated to her compatriots and now held in the museum's collections.
