About museum

In 2004 the Kortkeros District Historical and Local History Museum was founded; it serves as the guardian of the district's historical traditions. Its collection contains over 22,000 items that illustrate the formation and development of the Kortkeros District. The museum offers three permanent exhibitions and also organizes off-site tours and master classes with applied arts craftsmen. Visitors can also purchase printed materials and souvenirs made by local masters of Komi folk crafts. In addition, the museum has a branch, the "V. A. Savin Literary Museum", in the village of Nebdino, Kortkeros District.
