About museum
The Local History Museum was established by a decree of the administration of the Kinel-Cherkassky District in 1999 and opened on May 7, 2000. It plays an important role in the district, serving as a local history museum, exhibition hall, a place for meetings between generations, for celebrating significant dates, as a methodological center for working with folk craft masters, and as a tourist information office. The museum carries out a variety of activities: historical and ethnographic expeditions are conducted across the district and both permanent and new exhibitions are organized. Currently the museum offers visitors exhibitions such as "The Past Fate of My Land", "Russian Izba", "Gentry Drawing Room", "Animal and Plant Life", "Samovar, Samovaretz, Samovarchik…", "From Bread to Grain" and "All 900 Days of the Siege." The museum provides visitors with a wealth of interesting information and educational experiences.
