The museum houses extensive collections of monuments of Armyansk's history and culture, as well as numerous valuable documents, photographs, paintings, household items and other objects.
The Armyansk Local History Museum was founded by decision of the executive committee of the Armyansk City Council of People's Deputies on the basis of the public Museum of Military and Labor Glory. The museum features halls on the history of Armyansk, the Civil and the Great Patriotic Wars, the history of the "Crimean Titan" plant, a nature hall, and an exhibition hall. A special place is occupied by the section "Our Countrymen". Main exhibitions: "The Perekop Rampart Tells", "Afghanistan: How It Was", "Catherine II and Crimea", "Suvorov and Armyansk". The exhibits reflect the natural and historical specificity of Armyansk. The museum hosts various events: tours, educational tours, scientific conferences, round-table meetings, art exhibitions, photo exhibitions, literary and musical clubs.
