About museum
The museum building is one of the city's first stone structures, built in 1882. The Buinsk Local History Museum was founded in 1994. The museum has 10 exhibition halls covering various themes: the nature of the native region, archaeology, ethnography, the nobility hall, the Buinsky District in the 1920s, the Great Patriotic War, the postwar period and the present day, as well as local fellow countrymen — our pride. The museum hosts various exhibitions that cultivate a sense of beauty and refinement and introduce visitors to art. The exhibition hall also regularly features updated shows by artists from Tatarstan, Chuvashia and the Russian Federation, as well as applied arts and children's creativity. The museum holds various events dedicated to the lives and activities of outstanding locals, which are educational and informative in nature.
