On September 1, 2007, the Povetluzhye Museum was opened in the House of Culture building in the settlement of Varnavino. It operates as an exhibition complex featuring two permanent exhibitions: "Navigation on the Vetluga" and "Timber Rafting on the Vetluga". Here you can learn many interesting facts about the rich history of the Povetluzhye association, its festivals, notable people and local crafts. The venue hosts conferences, festivals and creative meetings. As a branch of the Varnavino Historical and Art Museum, the Povetluzhye Museum currently houses 5,348 items.
