The museum takes an active part in various events and cooperates with other museums. It invites everyone to visit and learn about the history and culture of Ipatovo and the Ipatovo District. The Ipatovo District Local History Museum began its activities in 1979 as a public institution. It was built on the site of a summer cinema on the stone foundation of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was destroyed in the 1930s. The museum houses three halls: an exposition hall, an exhibition hall, and a nature hall, which contain historical items. The museum's total collection comprises more than 17,000 items and tells about the life, customs, mentality, and notable people of Ipatovo and the Ipatovo District. The museum participates in various events and cooperates with other museums. All those interested are invited to visit the museum and learn more about the history and culture of Ipatovo and the Ipatovo District.
