In the territory of the Garinsky Urban District, the Garin Local History Museum of the Municipal Treasury Cultural Institution 'Cultural and Leisure Center' of the Garinsky Urban District operates. The museum has been open to visitors since July 19, 2013, at the address: 624910, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Garinsky District, urban-type settlement Gari, Oktyabrskaya Street, 27. The total area of the museum is 213.6 sq. m. The exhibition area is 202.7 sq. m. The storage area is 10.9 sq. m. Composition of the museum's collections: main collection — 1,400 storage units (635 storage units — archaeological items; 342 storage units — applied art, household items and ethnography). The temporary storage fund contains more than 2,800 storage units. The scientific and auxiliary fund comprises 160 storage units. In four exhibition halls seven permanent exhibitions are open to visitors: 'Sites of the earliest humans in the territory of the Garinsky District', 'The Garin site — the northernmost Paleolithic monument in the Trans-Urals', 'Descendants of the Pelym Principality — masters of the Ural Mountains', 'Living history of the native land — the formation of the Garinskaya sloboda', 'Administrative-territorial division of the Garinsky Urban District'.
