About museum

On October 21, 2017, the Mikhail Shemyakin Center was opened to develop the projects of the Mikhail Shemyakin Artist Foundation. Over 16 years of the Foundation's activity, hundreds of exhibition and educational programs have been held, including themed exhibitions, concerts and master classes. The main idea of the Foundation's project is the study of Mikhail Shemyakin's work, called the "Imaginary Museum." In the modern world art has significant importance, so the Mikhail Shemyakin Center is intended to help people better understand the processes occurring in society and to provide an opportunity for dialogue between different eras, movements and styles. The Center is also part of the Institute of Philosophy and Psychology of Creativity, where research is conducted according to Mikhail Shemyakin's author's methodology.
