House-Museum of Yuri K. Vella
About museum
On June 13, 2016, the ceremonial House-Museum of Yuri Kylievich Vella — a prominent Yugra writer and poet — was opened. Since 1993, the writer's parents lived in this house after moving to the settlement and maintained a traditional way of life, engaging in reindeer herding. In order to restore the house to the appearance it had during Yuri Kylievich's lifetime, the museum's creators preserved the traditional dwelling, a chum, a raised storage platform (labaz), and the fire site. The museum features a bust of the writer and also displays his personal belongings, drafts, photographs, and documents. Visitors can see and learn more about Yuri Vella's literary legacy — an active public figure, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, and an honorary citizen of the Nizhnevartovsk District.
