G.S. Raishev Gallery-Studio
About museum
The G.S. Raishev Gallery-Studio was opened in 1996 and has been a branch of the State Art Museum of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Ugra since 2011. It was built to a project led by People's Artist of Russia S. V. Goryaev and has an unusual architectural appearance inspired by the artist's work. The building's facade is decorated with a decorative mosaic of about 700 sq. m, created from a sketch by G. S. Raishev. The Gallery-Studio's holdings number more than 2,500 storage units, including collections of painting and graphics, household items and decorative-applied arts, and photographic materials. The Gallery-Studio's exhibitions show the Master's creative path, combining the indigenous cultures of the peoples of Siberia with contemporary art. The Studio also presents the artist's working environment with attributes and video materials from the Gallery's archive, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in Maestro Raishev's world.
