ARTSTORY Contemporary Art Gallery
About museum
The Artstory Contemporary Art Gallery was opened on 15.10.2014 in central Moscow. The gallery's founders — Lusine Petrosyan and Mikhail Opengheim — invite visitors to view new works by artists as well as works from museum collections and private collections. The exhibitions feature works by Russian and foreign artists across various genres and techniques, as well as works from different periods. In addition, the gallery hosts lectures, master classes, classes for children, creative meetings and film lectures. The Artstory collection includes works by Mikhail Shvartsman, Nikolai Sitnikov, Anatoly Zverev, Leonid Purygin, Oskar Rabin, Oleg Tselkov, Moisey Feigin, Natalia Nesterova and other artists reflecting the complex phenomenon of the "Russian avant-garde." The Artstory collection is an example of how works that are opposite in style and technique can form the basis for a lively, relevant and energetic collection that can be turned into a museum.
