Ertil Local History Museum

\r\nThe Ertil Local History Museum was opened on December 28, 1974 in the former building of the Ertil District Police Department (ROVD). In 1980, by order of the USSR Ministry of Culture, it was awarded the title 'People's', and in 1990 it became municipal. In 2010 the museum obtained legal entity status. It features halls of nature, pre‑Soviet history, the Civil War, the Great Patriotic War, the social sphere, an exhibition hall and a 'Folk Culture' hall. Exhibitions include 'Wildlife of Our Region', 'Peasant Life', 'Landlord's Corner', 'Weapons of the Civil War Period', 'RITM', 'Education', 'Healthcare' and 'Folk Crafts of Russia'. The museum's collection numbers 28,793 items, of which the main collection comprises 2,127 items and the scientific and auxiliary collection 26,666 items. The Ertil Local History Museum invites everyone to learn about the history and culture of the region.
