Exhibition 'House of Merchant S.A. Vagin'
About museum
The house of merchant Stepan Alexandrovich Vagin is a fine example of a mid-19th-century urban estate, built according to a model design in the Classicist style. It is situated on the corner of the market square and occupies an important place in the center of the Borisoglebskaya Side. The house has two facades, one facing Lunacharsky Street and the other — the main one, marked by a mezzanine — facing Romanovskaya Street. A distinctive feature of the house is its stepped facade. It now houses the 'Borisoglebskaya Side' museum and exhibition complex, which presents the merchant family's living rooms, the entrance hall and a shop. This house gives visitors the opportunity to learn about the everyday life and household of the modest Romanovo–Borisoglebsk merchant class and to see the kitchen, dining room, living room, library, study and other rooms.
Here you can see the kitchen, dining room, living room, library, study and other rooms.
