About museum

On October 23, 2009, the first literary museum dedicated to Ilya Selvinsky — the Ilya Selvinsky House Museum — was opened in Simferopol. Over ten years of operation, its staff have conducted research into the poet's life and work, published articles in newspapers and journals, produced radio and television programs, and delivered lectures about Selvinsky in schools and cultural organizations across Crimea. In addition, the House Museum takes part in preparing and holding the annual Crimean International Scientific Readings of I. L. Selvinsky. The House Museum continues to expand its connections with literary museums, creative unions, educational institutions, tourist organizations, and cultural societies.
