About museum
On May 17, 1980 the museum was opened in the house of the distinguished commander. The house was built in 1899 and houses an exhibition including photographic documents, personal belongings, souvenirs and gifts that tell about the life of the native. The museum also displays books, letters, documents and autographs of well-known military and political figures of the previous century. The exhibition is intended for people interested in the history of the Armed Forces of Russia, the Great Patriotic War and issues of patriotic education.
