Kochkovsky Historical and Local Lore Museum

\r\nIn November 1977 the Kochkovsky Historical and Local Lore Museum was established, becoming an honored People's Museum in 1984. The founder of the museum was Dmitry Emelyanovich Pikalov, who studied the history of Kochkovsky District and collected materials for the museum. The museum has two exhibition halls. The large hall features exhibitions dedicated to the history of Kochkovsky District, nature, the history of the peasantry, the daily life and way of life of Kochkov residents in the Tsarist era, as well as an exhibition of the Rusinov townspeople family. The museum has more than 14,000 exhibits, among them a 17th-century chain mail, a 6th-century BC akinak, an 1886 'Stela' music box, the seal of the village elder, and other interesting items.
