House of Cosmonauts
About museum
In 1983 the House of Cosmonauts was built; its foundation stone was signed by two-time Hero of the Soviet Union A. A. Leonov. The house contained rooms for Anna Timofeevna Gagarina and a hotel for cosmonauts. In 1984 Anna T. Gagarina died, and in 1989 the building was transferred to the museum association and reconstructed into an exhibition complex. The private rooms and Anna Timofeevna's living room have been preserved. Today you can find the historical-biographical exhibition "A Word About the Son", Yuri A. Gagarin's home study, Anna Timofeevna Gagarina's memorial living room, and the children's museum "Yuri Gagarin's Games", opened in 1996. Here you can see games from the 1930s–1940s that young Yuri Gagarin played with his peers.
