Tsimlyansky District Local History Museum
About museum
\r\nOn February 16, 1998 the Tsimlyansky District Local History Museum was established; it initially gathered materials about the district's military and labor glory. Today, when building the collections, special attention is paid to archaeological sites and to exhibits reflecting the history of the stanitsa Tsimlyanskaya and the town of Tsimlyansk, the history of the creation of the man-made sea, the Tsimlyansk Hydroelectric Power Station, as well as the evolution of the Great Steppe. In addition, the museum holds art collections of works by local craftsmen and artists.
