About museum

A modern multifunctional museum is located in the former mansion of the famous Yaroslavl surgeon Nikolai Bibikov, the author of the poetic rendering of "The Tale of Igor's Campaign", and a close friend of the opera singer Leonid Sobinov.

The museum hosts a permanent exhibition of Elena Pelevina — a well-known Russian fashion designer and artist. She promotes the traditions of Russian applied arts. She has gained international recognition for collections of clothing and accessories made from natural fabrics, often hand-painted and intricately decorated with appliqué, bugle beads, wood or freshwater pearls.

The museum conducts various master classes and mounts temporary exhibitions of artists, sculptors and collectors.
