Bryukhovetsky History and Local Lore Museum
About museum
The history and local lore museum in Bryukhovetskaya is located in the house of merchant Ivan Vasilyevich Ignatov, built in 1897. The building has served various purposes over time and in 1994 was granted the status of a cultural and historical heritage site of regional significance. The museum's holdings comprise 12,500 storage units: objects of applied art, household and ethnographic items, photographs, documents, books, numismatics and archaeological artefacts. The permanent exhibition is divided into themed halls. The hall hosts exhibitions by local artists, photographers and applied art craftsmen, as well as exhibitions from other cities of Russia and the Caucasus. The museum conducts guided tours, meetings with notable people, themed and local-history lessons, and evenings of reminiscence with labor veterans.
