About museum
On June 2, 1976, the Municipal Budgetary Cultural Institution of Bokovsky District 'Local History Museum' was established. In February 1982 the museum began to be arranged, and its official opening took place on May 8. The museum housed household items of the district's and region's residents, archaeological materials, numismatics, weapons, documents, books, and photographs. The museum consists of seven halls presenting the periods of development of the Don Cossacks, important historical events, and notable figures. It is located in the center of the stanitsa on the first floor of a two-story building. By the beginning of the 21st century the museum collections represented a fairly rich assemblage of historical materials formed under the influence of the museum's profile and the needs of society.
