Aksay Military-Historical Museum
About museum
The Aksay School Museum of Local History was founded on October 28, 1948, when the first exhibition was opened. In 1984 it was awarded the honorary title 'People's Museum'. It has continuously developed, being replenished with new items and collections as well as exhibitions. Teachers and students conducted research into the history of the Great Patriotic War, which made it possible to tell the stories of Heroes of the Soviet Union and the liberators. They also uncovered monuments of history and architecture for the town, as well as pages of the town's history. The Aksay School Museum of Local History is one of the most important historical museums in Russia.
