Traveling exhibitions are operating in Kuzbass, Mari El and cities of the Kirov region

In 2025 the Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore named after P.V. Alabin is presenting its exhibits in several Russian cities at once.

Exhibits from the Kirov museum have become part of the Victory Museum's federal project, which is taking place at the Kuzbass State Regional Museum (Kemerovo). At the exhibition "Marshals of Victory: Commanders of the Great Patriotic War" (12+) items belonging to Marshal Ivan Stepanovich Konev are presented from the Kirov museum's collections: a summer tunic and cap, a Central Committee of the CPSU membership card with the personal signatures of I.S. Konev and L.I. Brezhnev, and other documents.

The exhibition is hugely successful, especially with schoolchildren and young people. Since January its visitor numbers have already reached almost 8,000 people.
– "At the exhibition we managed to enter the atmosphere of history, get acquainted with unique wartime exhibits, look at photographs and original documents, and most importantly to feel that time when everyone was focused on the Great Victory! These events are of great value, helping to remember the past, without which there can be no future," such feedback is left by visitors to the Kuzbass museum on social media.

Almost 2,000 people have already visited the exhibition "Both Lions, and Birds, and Flowers" (0+), which is being held at the National Museum of the Republic of Mari El (Yoshkar-Ola). Here the Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore presented more than 60 samples from the collection of northern Russian house painting: painted panels, doors, elements of the interior of a peasant izba.

The museum is also implementing traveling projects in the towns of the Kirov region. Thus, for the 80th anniversary of Victory the exhibition "Marshal of Victory" (6+) about the life and main milestones of I.S. Konev's combat path opened at the Slobodskoy Museum and Exhibition Center. The traveling project "From Vyatka to the Elbe" (12+) about the combat path of the 311th Rifle Division (based on the photographic chronicle of D.F. Onokhin) will soon open in the town of Kirs. Another exhibition – "Antiquities of the Vyatka Region" (0+) – is on display at the Vyatskopolyansky Historical Museum.

Overall, the number of visitors who have viewed exhibits from the Kirov Regional Museum of Local Lore's collection in various Russian cities has already exceeded 14,000 people.
