Exhibition Hall of the Kirov City Zoological Museum
About museum
In November 2011 the exhibition hall of the municipal budgetary institution 'Kirov Zoological Museum' was opened. It permanently hosts the 'Journey Across Russia' exhibition, within which various nature exhibitions are held. The museum's permanent collection includes not only the local zoofauna, but also specimens that can be found only in Russia, for example a taxidermy mount of the waxwing shrike and the reed sutora. The museum holds environmental events as well as celebrations such as 'Winged Spring', Ferret Day, and meetings with zoologists, writers, artists, and animal painters. The museum positions itself as an accessible place for adults and children to learn about nature.
