Krasnodar Regional Art Museum named after F.A. Kovalenko
关于博物馆
Krasnodar Regional Art Museum is the oldest in the North Caucasus. It was opened in 1904 thanks to Fedor Akimovich Kovalenko, who donated his collection of paintings, books and archaeological valuables to the city. Currently the museum's holdings consist of more than 13,000 works of painting, graphic art, sculpture and decorative-applied arts. The collection includes works from various schools of icon painting, as well as the creative searches of the 1920s–1930s. Particularly valuable are the areas represented in the museum's collection: Russian avant-garde, Japanese colored woodblock prints, 16th-century Netherlandish art, Russian and Soviet painting, as well as ex-libris. The museum also features virtual spaces using touch panels and an interactive book. Events dedicated to the history and culture of Krasnodar Krai are regularly held.
