A.S. Pushkin State Museum Exhibition Hall on Arbat
About museum
At present the Museum of Arts has ample space for temporary exhibitions. These include three buildings on Prechistenka, 12 halls on the basement level, in the mezzanine and in the Manor Courtyard, as well as exhibition halls on Denezhny Lane. In recent years the museum has undergone significant changes. Now exhibitions feature not only works by contemporary artists but also photographs, sketches of theatrical scenery, and installations by fashion designers. In 1998 an exhibition of portrait photography was opened, at which the Museum for the first time presented its collection of photographs, including rare early images from well-known Russian photo studios as well as works by notable photographic artists.
