Vysokogorsky Local History Museum
About museum
On November 29, 2007, a local history museum was opened in Vysokogorsk. On January 1, 2011, the S. Saidashev Museum in the village of Ibrya was incorporated into it. The director of the museum is Fazullina Rezeda Ravilevna. The museum building has two floors and is located on the central square next to the administration, the cultural and leisure center (CDK), and the newspaper editorial office. The total area of the building is 285.4 sq. m., of which 194 sq. m. are exhibition halls and 13 sq. m. is the collections storage. The museum displays exhibits of archaeology, paleontology, ethnography, applied arts, numismatics, painting, documents, rare books, and printed materials. The exhibitions are dedicated to the history of the district, notable people, their lives and work, as well as to the household items of peasants of the 19th–20th centuries from the Vysokogorsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
