Kolokolnikovs' Estate Museum
About museum
The Kolokolnikovs' Estate Museum in Tyumen is the only surviving classical merchant building. The building's façade is executed in the styles of neoclassicism, baroque and traditional Tyumen carving. The interior rooms of the house create a unified stylistic space. The two-window hall, walls decorated with portraits of the Kolokolnikov family, and the shop — a composite representation of the city's stores from the late 19th to the early 20th century — attract visitors' attention. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to the history of the merchant families Ikonnikov and Kolokolnikov. In 1919 the headquarters of Marshal V. K. Blücher was located here. The exhibition "Trading House I. P. Kolokolnikov N-ki" is a composite representation of the large stores and shops of Tyumen at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, such as Altshuller's watch shop, Moiseev's hat shop, Vorobeychikova's shoe shop, Sheshukova's "Viennese Chic", and the Kolokolnikovs' own shop.
