About museum

The Volgodonsk Art Museum has existed since 1995 and was recognized as a museum of contemporary art in 2003. The museum's main collections consist of works by Volgodonsk artists, as well as portraits of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home-front workers, items of decorative and applied arts, and phaleristics. As of January 1, 2022, the museum has 7 halls with a total area of 360 sq. m., housing more than 8,000 items of contemporary art: painting, graphics, sculpture and decorative-applied arts. This allows preserving and presenting to visitors the heritage of Volgodonsk culture and art.
