About museum
The history of the Uvinsky Historical and Art Museum began on July 1, 1974, following two years of preparation collecting materials and documents on the history of the settlement for the 50th anniversary of the settlement of Uva. The majority of the exhibits were provided by students of the Uva boarding school under the leadership of its director A. A. Podshivalov. From the collected material an exhibition was created, and in 1973 the book "Biography of My Settlement" was published. Today the museum offers visitors various permanent and temporary exhibitions and is also engaged in promoting the historical heritage of the Uvinsky District, civic-patriotic education, and the education of the younger generation.
