A. Lapshina Estate
About museum
The A. Lapshina Estate is a monument of architecture and urban planning of national significance, built in the second half of the 19th century. The two-story building is located on Revolyutsii (Revolution) Embankment in the center of the Museum Quarter and, before the Revolution, belonged to the family of one of the founders of peasant shipbuilding and steam navigation on the Volga. The estate complex of Avdotya Lapshina includes the main house and several wings (outbuildings). Since 2018 the A. Lapshina Estate has been part of the 'Meteor' Leisure Center, which houses a children's department and a management service. In the children's department, staff continually improve their qualifications by taking courses and master classes from professional animators. They are the developers of the 'Persona Elit' project — a school of aesthetic education for children and adolescents, unique to the Gorodetsky District. Highly qualified specialists work in the management service and are ready to provide detailed information about the institution's activities. In 2020 a grant was received for the creation of a Workshop.
