The Troitsko-Pechorsky District Museum of History and Local Lore named after A. N. Popov is a research and educational institution that preserves monuments of the centuries-old history and the material and spiritual culture of the population of the Pechora region (Pripechorye). The museum's collection contains more than 8,000 exhibits, the majority of which are presented in the following expositions: the district's fauna and flora; photographs; documents; awards belonging to Alexander Nikolaevich Popov; an archaeological map of the district with prehistoric sites; the diorama "Kanin Cave Sanctuary"; an ethnographic exhibition with household items of the local population; a geological collection; photographs of the Pechoro-Ilych Reserve and monuments of the history and culture of Pripechorye; as well as monuments of the Great Patriotic War (World War II). It features monuments of the history and culture of Pripechorye and monuments related to the Great Patriotic War.
